To clean the country, political leaders should be dumped in Sisdol: KMC Mayor Shah

KATHMANDU, April 8: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has said that the leaders should be dumped in Sisdol to clean up the country.

Sisdol is the place where Kathmandu's waste is disposed of. Mayor Shah vented ire saying that the political leaders should be dumped to clean the country as they have polluted the country.


In his social media post, Mayor Shah said that if the country has to be cleaned, its leaders will have to be dumped in Sisdol.


Mayor Shah also announced that from today onwards, the garbage of Singha Durbar will not be collected. Posting a status on his official Facebook page on Saturday, Mayor Shah said that KMC will not pick up the garbage coming out of the Singha Durbar.


Mayor Shah has been citing the intervention of local leaders of political parties regarding the repeated blockages in Sisdol, which is managing the garbage of Kathmandu metropolis.


He has written on social media, "From today, the garbage of Singha Durbar will not be removed. If the country really needs to be cleaned, its leaders will have to be dumped in Sisdol.”
