KATHMANDU, Dec 2: The government has appointed Ram Chandra Tiwari as the director general (DG) of the Department of Industry.
Tiwari, who rose to the post of joint-secretary through an open competition in November, was posted at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
700-year-old structure discovered
Within a month of becoming a joint secretary, Tiwari has been given the important responsibility of DG of the department. Tiwari has started working at his new office starting Thursday. Tiwari said that he would work to develop industries as per the responsibilities assigned by the government.
The ministry sent Tiwari to the department after the transfer of Jiblal Bhusal, the outgoing DG of the department.
