Tips for learning foreign language

Tips for learning foreign language

Talk To Yourself

It might sound really weird, but actually speaking to yourself in a language is a great way to practice if you’re not able to use it all the time. It also helps build up your confidence for the next time you speak with someone.

Download dictionary on your phone

This makes a much bigger difference. Having it on your phone is great because it takes two seconds to look something up in the middle of a conversation. And because you’re using it in conversation, you’re much more likely to recall it later.

Watch Movies

Watching movies familiarizes you with native speech.  If you don’t understand a word, you can often guess based on what’s happening and characters facial expressions. Plus, you can see how vocabulary might be used in different situations, helping you understand when different words are appropriate.

Get out of your comfort zone

Willingness to make mistakes means being ready to put yourself in potentially embarrassing situations. This can be scary, but it’s the only way to develop and improve.
