LAHAN, June 26: One person has been seriously injured after a firing incident in Belijatiyahi Tol in Lahan Municipality-22 of Madhesh.

Dilip Mukhiya was shot by Sushant Chaudhary when they were playing with a pistol at local Ravindra Chaudhary’s  house on Sunday. The injured Dilip has been taken to Dharan for treatment.

According to DSP Kumar Prasad Mainali of the area police office, Lahan, he found out about the incident at around 8 in the morning. He said that after investigating he found out that Sushant Chaudhary, 19, Suraj Mukhya,15, and Dilip Mukhya, 18, were playing with a pistol when suddenly Sushant pressed the trigger mistakenly which ended up hurting Dilip.

After finding out about the incident, DCP Mainali went to the incident spot and arrested Sushant and Suraj and started further investigation. Police recovered one sharp pistol and an automatic pistol loaded with a magazine from the spot. Police said that further investigation into the incident is underway. According to police sources, those involved in the incident are also involved in drug trafficking.
