RAUTAHAT, June 27: Three police personnel-- two assistant sub inspectors (ASI) and a police constable — have been suspended in Rautahat.
Police ASI Sanjip Jha, who was in-charge at Basantpur Police Station here in the district, was suspended by Province 2 Police, Janakpur after he had been found in an ‘objectionable situation’ at midnight three days ago. The locals had taken control of him and handed him over to the District Police Office, Rautaht following the incident.
Meanwhile, in-charge at Auraiya Police Station in Ishnath Municipality-3, ASI Lalit Shah and constable Dinesh Hajara were also suspended after they were drawn to the Provincial Police Office on the charge of facilitating the Hundi operators from India and showing a very little revenue collection.
