SURKHET, June 10: Three people, including a one-month infant, killed in an auto-rickshaw accident in Panchapuri Municipality of the district on Sunday.

The ill-fated vehicle (Bhe 1 Ha 2135) heading from Babiya Chaur to Murmuri met with the accident that claimed the life of the one-month infant, her mother and the driver.

 The deceased are identified as Pratikshya Shahi, her mother Binita Shahi (24) and the driver Ashok Rawat, according to Inspector Sushovan Shrestha of police unit at Babiya Chaur.

The infant was killed on the spot whereas the other two succumbed to injuries on the way to Birendranagar for the treatment. Birkha Bahadur Nepali (42) and Lali Nepali (24) have sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the local hospital. They are reported to be in critical condition. All dead are from the same village.
