BAITADI, May 24: Three members of a family died after their hut caught fire in Purchaudi Municipality-7, of Baitadi on Wednesday night.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Kare Luhar, 50 (approx), his 45-year-old wife Bindra and eight-year-old son Manoj. The family lived in a small hut behind the Giribazar Bus Station at Purchaudi-7. Netramani Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office (DPO), Baitadi, informed Republica that the hut was reduced to ashes by 10:30 am, killing all three members inside.

The blazing fire came under control after a police team from Purghat reached the site. All three bodies have been sent to the Primary Treatment Center, Patan, for a postmortem. Police Inspector Gindra Bahadur Bogati of the Area Police Office, Purghat, said the investigation has been expedited to find out the reason behind the fire.
