CHITWAN, Aug 28: Three newly built bridges along the Narayangadh-Muglin road have been brought into operation.
Construction of bridges over Mauri, Khanikhola, and Dasdhunga rivers has been completed, said engineer Rohit Kumar Bisural, chief of the road project, adding that setting up signposts, painting and work of security measures remained incomplete.

It would take sometimes to inaugurate the bridges, he said. Lama Construction was awarded the three bridges at the cost of Rs 140 million. Likewise, 35 percent construction of a bridge at Jalbire has been over.
The 80 meters long bridge got delayed due to landslides and its construction would be completed by coming December, he said. A change in the project design and geographical difficulties at the site also contributed to the delay.
The Mauripul is 30 meters long, Khanipul 30 meters long and Dasdhunga bridge 20 meters long. Width of the three bridges is 11 meters each. The Jalbire bridge was contracted at Rs 140 million.
