KATHMANDU, March 28: Three more Nepali nationals living in foreign countries died of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one week, the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) said on Sunday.
Issuing a press release, the NRNA stated that two Nepali nationals in the United Kingdom and one Nepali national in Canada succumbed to COVID-19 in the past one week.
Dr Sanjeev Sapkota, coordinator of NRNA's health committee, said that 345 Nepali nationals living in various foreign countries have died of the virus as of today since the coronavirus outbreak last year.
According to Sapkota, 63,854 Nepali nationals living in 53 countries have been infected with the coronavirus as of today. Of the infected, 61, 980 Nepali nationals were recovered from the disease.
