Three local governments collaborate for development

BANIYANI, Jan 29: Three local levels of Jhapa district are set to collaborate for development and prosperity. 

Kachankawal, Haldibari and Barhadashi rural municipalities of the district have come up with the idea for collaboration to propel development and prosperity. 

Rabindra Lingden, Chairperson of Haldibari rural municipality, said the concept has been put forward to work in collaboration between the three local governments which are geographically adjacent. 

“Income source of the rural municipality is low. So, collaboration is a must to overcome the challenge”, he added. 

The local governments have a shared plan to collaborate in a number of areas including equipment procurement, border dispute management, working uniformity and laws formulation.
