RANJHA, April 11: A car (Province 3-01-23 Cha 8481) knocked down three pedestrians near BP Chowk in Nepalgunj last night.
Chief of Banke District Traffic Police Office, Police Inspector Himalaya Shah shared that the deceased have been identified as Samina Idrisi, 65, of Nepalgunj-11, five-year-old Kasim Idrisi, and Ali Idrisi whose age hasn’t been verified.
The car driver Indra Bahadur Thapa, 28, of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-10 took all the critically injured pedestrians to the Teaching Hospital at Nepalgunj. The hospital pronounced them dead after 15 minutes.
Police have arrested Thapa and launched an investigation into the incident, said Inspector Shah.
