Three killed in boat capsize

KAWASOTI, Nov 1: Three persons died in a boat capsize that occurred at Ghol of Narayani River in Nawalparasi (West) district on Monday.

The boat ferrying youths returning home after the picnic capsized at Ghol of the Narayani River in Susta Rural Municipality-4, according to Chief of District Police Office Rishiram Kandel.

The deceased have been identified as Guddu Harijan, 22, Niraj Harijan, 18, and Ranjit Gupta, 18, from Suta-4.

Two others on board – Kishor Harijan and Sohit Sahani– were injured in the incident. They have been taken to Bhairahawa for treatment. 

Police have initiated investigation into the incident.
