JANAKPUR, Aug 10: A car carrying three passengers was struck by a train in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City–9, Brahmapuri, near Thapachowk on Sunday morning, according to police.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 am when a car (Bagmati Province 01–025Cha 1290) traveling from Piparadhi Station in Mahottari toward Janakpurdham collided with a Nepal Railway train at a crossing area near the railway track.
Why was the train from Janakpur to Ayodhya canceled?
Eyewitnesses reported a loud noise as the train hit the vehicle. All three occupants of the car sustained minor injuries, while the car suffered significant damage.
Rail services were briefly halted following the collision. Dhanusha Police Spokesperson Varun Bahadur Singh said further investigation into the accident is underway.
