Three groups to participate in NATTA elections

KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Three teams have announced participation in the upcoming election of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA).

KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Three teams have announced participation in the upcoming election of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA). 


Three teams are working hard with different plans and agendas to win the NATTA election. 


Among the three teams, Mihika Shaha is one of the participants in the upcoming election of NATTA and is also the former general secretary of the organization. According to Mihika Shaha, her team is moving forward with the procedures of the election and is busy carrying out various campaigns.

“We are doing various campaigns for our election and our agenda is different from others, since it will focus on providing various infrastructures and services to the tourists,” said Shaha, “In this election, 40% of our team members are females and it is not just an election for us but also a matter of women empowerment.”


Shaha is also focused on doing research in the tourism sector which will include data collection, market requirement, and research on potential sectors for tourism.


“Nepal even lacks basic infrastructure and we don't have services which meets the need of the international market but our team will work towards providing adequate services to the tourists,” said Shaha.


According to Shaha, no proper plans have been made by the government for Visit Nepal Year 2020 but she is optimistic that tourists will have a good experience with the help of tour and travel agents in the country.
