KATHMANDU April 4: Three girls from Baitadi have gone missing. Two girls from Melauli Municipality and one from Patan Municipality of the district have gone missing.


Lakshmi Pokharel of Melauli-1, Sirad, has been out of contact since Monday morning. Her brother-in-law Nirajan Pokharel said that her 1-year-old son was found crying alone in the room around 3 AM on Monday.


After the disappearance of Lakshmi a request has been made to Taswadehi Area Police Office for search. Lakshmi's husband, Rajendra Pokharel, who could not be contacted, is in Bangalore, India, for work. The couple has two sons.

Similarly Parvati Khatri, 20, a resident of Melauli Municipality-1, has been missing for six days.


It is reported that she left home on 30 March and has not been contacted yet. Parvati's husband Sagar Singh Nayak is in Malaysia for employment.


If anyone finds Parvati, they are requested to inform the nearest police station or family members.


Gomti Labad, 15,of Patan Municipality-4  of the district has also been missing. Gomti's father Dilip Labad  said that her daughter has been out of contact since 30 March.


Gomti, who left home to go to Dehimanda Jatra, has not returned home yet.
