Three foreign women arrested with cocaine worth Rs 80 million

KATHMANDU, May 16: Police have arrested three foreign women with cocaine worth Rs 79.62 million.


The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested three persons with a total of 2.654 kgs of the illegal drug cocaine from various places in Kathmandu.

The police said that the three arrested were members of an international gang.


Kevina Mugala, 44, a Ugandan citizen who came to Kathmandu from Qatar on May 2, was arrested from Sinamangal. According to the police, the 90 capsules of cocaine that she had swallowed were taken out at the Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj. These capsules removed from her stomach weighed 1.26 kg.


Similarly, Lilian Susan Wanyangji from Uganda was arrested from Dhobichaur on May 15 in possession of 1.394 kg of cocaine.


According to the police, Diva Jani Paul, 33, an Indian citizen, was arrested from Dhobichaur on May 15. She had reached Dhobichaur to buy 1.394 kgs of cocaine.
