ITAHARI, Nov 20: Three people died in a road mishap at Halgada along the Dharan-Itahari road section in Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-4.
A scooter, Ko 22 Pa 467,heading to Dharan collided head-on with an ambulance, Ko 1 Cha 7009, coming from the opposite direction last night, leaving three dead.
The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Duk Bahadur Karki of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City, Nirman Gautam, 40, and Sarita Kafle, 41, of Riddhi Rural Municipality, Palpa, informed the Eastern Regional Traffic Police Office told Republica online.
Area Police Office, Itahari has taken the ambulance and driver Sunil Khadka under control while the dead bodies have been kept at BP Koirala Insititute of Health Sciences for postmortem.
