KATHMANDU, April 11: Three Chinese nationals have been arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport for possessing 3.3 kg of gold in the rectum. According to SP Krishna Koirala, all three landed at TIA in a Kathmandu-bound flight from China on Thursday afternoon and were nabbed while crossing through the security check.
The metal detector, while checking them, indicated the illegal material with them. However, the police could not find anything from them. Following which, they were rushed to Sinamangal-based KMC hospital where the yellow metal was recovered from their body, according to SP Koirala. They are taken into custody and police have started the investigation into the case.
