KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Three airports in Sudur Pashchim Province will resume operation from tomorrow.
Summit Air, a domestic airline, is going to operate flights to and from Bajhang Airport, Baitadi Airport and Doti Airport. All three airports were not in operation.
The airline is starting scheduled flights to these destinations based from Dhangadhi Airport. It is operating flights to Bajhang on Tuesday and Friday, Baitadi on Tuesday and to Doti on Friday. Prior to this, the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) conducted flights to the far western hilly destinations. Stating the lack of passengers, the NAC later stopped flying to these destinations.
Meanwhile, the number of people traveling through air routes has drastically increased because of which the airports have resumed operation. The airports and flights are expected to help people in their emergency travels to the cities.
