LALITPUR, April 18: A group of 47 people who were stranded in Lubhu, Lalitpur have been sent to their villages on Saturday afternoon with the help of local authorities.
Local administration arranged a tipper and tractor to take them beyond Lalitpur district and will be picked by other vehicles sent from Sindhuli, according to a local representative in Lubhu. “We consulted with local authorities in Sindhuli, and they will reach home safely.”
Most of them were working at various construction sites in Kalanki and Harisiddhi area in the Valley. They couldn’t receive adequate relief packages, so they had no other option but to head out home.
“It is very difficult for us to stay here as all construction works have been halted,” said Hira Nepali who was carrying her 6-month-old baby.
