KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ said that those organizing “non-vegetarian” (violent agitation claimed by Dahal) agitation “will be locked” in the Central Zoo at Jawalakhel.
Addressing a mass gathering in the capital, Minister Thapa said that the constitution of Nepal has prohibited ‘non vegetarian’ agitation, calling it a crime. “Those organizing “non vegetarian” agitations will be locked inside the Jawalakhel Zoo,” he said, alluding to rival faction leaders Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal and their supporters.
A few weeks ago, Dahal had said that the government was not responding to ‘vegetarian agitations’, and called for a ‘non-vegetarian agitation’. He meant that the cadres, during the protests, should be aggressive and violent to grab the attention of the government.
