KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Nepal has recorded yet another case of the omicron variant. Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Sangita Kaushal Mishra reported that the third case of the new omicron variant has been detected in the country, at a press briefing on Wednesday.
The person has been identified to be a 98-year-old man and is currently in home isolation. Authorities have started contact tracing to find the people who have been in contact with the senior citizen.
Earlier, Nepal had recorded two cases of Omicron variant on November 19.
