Third Art without Borders exhibition on display

Third Art without Borders exhibition on display

Women For Women Nepal has been hosting an exhibition on the theme ‘Buddhism in Modern Times’ at Newa Chen Gallery, Patan. The exhibit started from Saturday, and will conclude on Wednesday.

The exhibition has artworks of aspiring Nepali as well as Japanese artists on display. Visitors can enjoy intricate works of five Nepali artists and one Japanese artist. Since Buddha’s preaching and the value of selflessness seems to disappear in the modern era, the paintings at the exhibition worked as a medium to remind visitors about the principles of
oneness.

“Art is a medium that allows us to surpass all limits, regulations and obligations and transcends eras. This exhibition evidently has shared a platform to commemorate the great teachings of Buddha,” said Astha Prabha Tuladhar, proprietor of Women For Women Nepal.

“The amalgamation of national as well as international artists in the exhibition also ensures cultural exchange through art,” said Sarita Dangol, coordinator of Newa Chen Art Gallery.
