The haunted coffin

The haunted coffin

Buried deep beneath in the graveyard of my own desires,
My coffin there lays still but awaken.
Those dreams, roadmaps and the plans
Once networked across the axons of this brain
Slaying of fun, the joy and those beauties around
Those arid, sleepless nights and years of self abjuration.
Throughout life I was hallucinating for glory
And improved grades obsession.
Weary, lifeless and tired
In deep silence, now, my ailing body lays there all alone.
Yet tides of thoughts constantly uproar
Days and nights along my cranial shore.
Beholding those famed, distinguished corpses
lying tranquilly in the common ground.
One cold night from the graveyard, my coffin may rise
Eyes closed for ages in lust
May then finally realize.
Each day, through entire life, you ran
Over a thousand miles as hard as you can.
In the end, what did you truly achieve?
For in this delusive universe,
Your desires were no more than just a lust
In which you should never believe.
