KATHMANDU, March 11: Thai Airways has temporarily slashed the number of flights to Kathmandu owing to coronavirus outbreak.
Currently, Thai Airways is operating one flight to Kathmandu every day. With the latest decision, the Airways will run flights to Kathmandu five days a week.
In a notice to its agents, Thai Airways said that TG319 BKK-KTM/TG320 KTM-BKK has been cancelled on March 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 due to the COVID-19.

"Please accommodate passengers on the available flight without date change fee only at your end.
Any queries please don’t hesitate to contact at 01-4221316(Ext 201/202/107) or below emails (Sales Department)," the Thai Airways International Public Company Limited said in the notice.
The notice will be effective from March 13, according to the airlines.
Thai Airways has halved its international flights as fewer people are flying due to the global coronavirus outbreak.
Meanwhile, Biman Bangladesh, the national flag carrier of Bangladesh has also decided to reduce its weekly international flights to Kathmandu.
