KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Thai AirAsia completed its inaugural Bangkok-Bhairahawa-Bangkok flight today, landing at Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa at 6:55 AM.
The Airbus A320, carrying crew members, marked a test flight, according to GBIA officials. Regular flights are scheduled to operate twice a week starting November 8.
Thai AirAsia resuming its flights from GBIA from Sunday
Airport staff, security personnel, immigration officers and tourism representatives warmly welcomed the Thai AirAsia test flight.
The initial one-way fare from Bhairahawa to Bangkok is set at Rs 12,000. The Thai AirAsia flight departed for Bangkok at 7:40 AM.
