WALING, June 3: A test flight of paragliding has been started at Sataun Kot of Putlibazaar-14, Syangja.
As part of the process to study the feasibility of paragliding in different places of the district, a test flight was conducted on Thursday from Sataun Kot. One can fly from Sataun Kot and land at any of the edges of Putalibazar-11, Rangkhola-11 and 13.
President of Babu Adventure Club Jung KC said that the test flight was carried out with the support and management of Babu International Paragliding School, Babu Adventure Club, Technical Management of Roadside Paragliding and Putlibazaar Municipality.
"The test flight of paragliding has been successful and we will gradually prepare for commercial flight," said KC. He believes that the number of people coming for paragliding will increase here as the 'take-off' and 'landing' points are close to the SiddharthA highway connecting Sunauli-Pokhara.
Both 'slow' and 'tandem' flights can be made from this place, which is one hour away from the tourist city of Pokhara.
