Teenager killed in tractor accident

LAHAN, Aug 1: A teenager was killed and seven others injured when a tractor carrying pilgrims met with an accident last night at Bandipur road of Badaharamal VDC – 6 along the East-West Highway. 

The tractor (Sa 1 Ta 1307) heading towards west veered out of control and crashed killing Gauri Raya, 18, of Mirchaiya Municipality – 8, police said. 

Bipin Raya, 20, of Mirchaiya Municipality – 8, who was seriously injured in the incident, is currently receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan while others are being treated at local clinics, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Shyam Singh Chaudhary, of Area Police Office, Mirchaiya.
