NEPALGUNJ, Oct 5: A teenager named Rohit Tharu, 19, of Bardiya, Rajapur, has been killed near Gayatri Temple in Dhamboji of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-1.
DSP Madhusudan Neupane, spokesperson for Banke Police, said, “Our team has been investigating the incident. The initial investigation concluded that he had not been killed.” The locals had informed the police after seeing the body on the empty land near the temple at around 8AM on Tuesday. Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information.
The deceased Rohit had been living with his sister, Sima Tharu in Ward 1 Dhamboji. She has claimed that her brother was killed. She said, “My brother was sleeping when he received a phone call and went out on Monday night. Then his body was found in the morning.”
According to police, things will become clearer after a postmortem.
