KHOTANG, Nov 14: A teenager has died after being struck by a wooden log at Majhuwagadhi Municipality-9 on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Dipak Rai, son of Nar Bahadur Rai of Udayapur. According to District Police Office, Khotang, Dipak was seriously injured when the log felled by his friend hit him by his chin and head. Seriously injured Dipak breathed his last while being taken to Kathmandu.
Dipak was referred to Kathmandu after his treatment was impossible at District Hospital, Diktel, said DSP Lok Darshan Thapa, of Khotang District Police Office.
Dipak had come to Khotang along with his parents for irrigation channel construction works underway in Nirmali Danda in Khotang.
