Teenage girl found dead in Pokhara

POKHARA, Aug 25: A 14-year-old girl who went missing since last Thursday has been found dead at Lamachaur on Friday evening.

A minor has been identifyed as Puspa KC of Lamachaur, Pokhara Metropolitan City-19. A sixth grader at Bindhya Basini Secondary School, Batulechaur went missing while returning home from school and was found dead on Friday evening, informed police.

Though, school bus dropped her at around 4:30 pm, KC went out of contact from her familty members. Search operation was intensified by the local police and family members after she went missing on Thursday.

The teenager’s dead body was found at Phapartaro, Pokhara-19, two kilometres away from her house at Jimire, Pokhara-19.

The victim’s schoolbag was found at Dhat,  a kilometre away from her house. She might have been killed, said police.

The dead body has been taken to Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara for postmortem said spokesperson of Kaski District Police Rabindraman Gurung. He further added that the postmortem report will help in the investigation.
