KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Minister for Land Management, Co-operatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal said on Monday that the ministry is working to digitalize the entire land management system.
Speaking at the work contract signing program in the ministry between the ministry and secretary, undersecretaries, division chiefs at the ministry, minister Aryal said that ministry had already formed a high-powered probe commission to receive suggestions regarding the systemization of public land.
“We are striving to provide some impactful outputs, so we expect cooperation from the people of all walks of life,” she added. Minister Aryal further said, “In spite of our spirits to initiate something good to check encroachment of government-owned land, we are not responded positively.”
According to Minister Aryal, the due land management system would settle all the mismanagement related to land administration. “If anyone tries to register public land as the private one, the software will automatically reject that,” she said while speaking about the land management project.
Addressing the government employees at the ministry, she directed all of them to pay objective and impactful visits out of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, secretary at the ministry Gopi Nath Mainali said that contract was signed in a bid to address public concerns over dilly-delaying in public service delivery.
