KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Tara Air is set to resume its flights between Pokhara and Jomsom starting on Tuesday. The service had been temporarily suspended due to poor weather conditions.
Sudarshan Bartaula, Aviation Security Officer at Tara Air, stated that the resumption of flights marks the improvement of weather conditions and the upcoming tourist season. To ensure smooth operations, the aircraft will be stationed overnight in Pokhara, with flights departing from the old airport in Pokhara.

Jomsom Airport, located at an altitude of 2,736 meters above sea level, features a 739-meter runway, presenting unique challenges for pilots.
In addition, Tara Air has announced a new flight schedule for the Ramechhap-Lukla-Ramechhap route starting on September 20. This change is in preparation for the anticipated influx of tourists during the post-monsoon season.
The airline plans to operate 10 to 15 daily flights between Manthali in Ramechhap district and Lukla in Solukhumbu district using two Twin Otter aircraft. This schedule adjustment seeks to accommodate the expected surge in tourists to the Everest region.
