Tara Air resumes Pokhara-Jomsom flights as tourist season kicks off

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Tara Air has resumed its Pokhara-Jomsom flights, marking the onset of the tourist season. This decision aligns with the favorable weather conditions that typically accompany the beginning of the tourism season.


The Pokhara-Jomsom route had been temporarily suspended for three months due to adverse weather conditions, but as conditions improved with the arrival of the tourist season, Tara Air reinitiated this essential service from today.

Tara Air will station one aircraft in Pokhara exclusively for the Jomsom route, offering a frequency of five daily flights. Jomsom Airport, perched at an altitude of 2,736 meters above sea level, remains a significant hub for travelers exploring the region.


In addition to the Pokhara-Jomsom route, Tara Air continues to maintain regular flights to various other destinations, employing TwinOtter aircraft, including Simkot, Lukla, Phaplu, and Dunai.
