ARGHAKHANCHI, Sep 4: The two young men who had been missing after being swept away by the Chhahara River in Simalpani, Sitganga Municipality-14 on Tuesday morning have been found.

According to the Area Police Office in Pipara, the deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Umesh Paudel from Banganga Municipality-2, Rajpur, and 22-year-old Kishor Raskoti from Ward No. 8, Bodgaun.

They were swept away by a sudden flood when they had gone to bathe in the waterfall of the Chhahara River on Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 PM. The police reported that two other two individuals who were with them managed to save themselves by swimming to safety.

The police further stated that the steep nature of the waterfall and the sudden surge of the flood may have made it difficult for the young men to escape by swimming.
