KATHMANDU, Feb 28: A suspicious-looking object that was put in front of the federal parliament building at New Baneshwar was taken under control by the bomb disposable unit of the Nepali Army which said that no explosive material was found inside the suspicious object.

According to Captain Sandeep Thapa of the bomb disposal team, no explosives were found in the pressure cooker placed in the middle of the road in front of the parliament building. “Our trained dog should have been suspicious if there were any kind of explosive materials inside the cooker,” Thapa said. Upon opening the cooker, the team found that it was filled with papers and bricks.

A suspicious-looking pressure cooker was found outside the federal parliament building early today after the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement was ratified by parliament on Sunday.
