KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Author and social worker Surya Prasad Subedi died on Sunday. Surya Prasad was admitted at Om Hospital for treatment as he was suffering from lungs cancer, according to a press statement.
He was diagnosed with lungs cancer only two months ago. Subedi had published ‘Srijana Ra Dristikon’, a collection of interviews of various authors and writers from 2030 BS to 2070 BS.

Moreover, he is also the author of novel ‘Dishahin Yatra’ and anthology of short stories ‘Surya Subedika Kathaharu’. He also contributed as columnist for various publications and was active in social works from Sabla Gramin Kendra. Subedi began his journey as a journalist in 2030 BS and became active during 2043 BS when the country was fighting for democracy.
Subedi is survived by his wife and two sons.
