Surgery affected due to 8-hour loadshedding

BIRGUNJ, Aug 6: The eight-hour-long loadshedding has affected regular surgery at Narayani Zonal Hospital, doctors have said.



Disruption in the supply of power has forced us to take a risk while carrying out the surgery, Dr Bimala Bachar of the hospital said.



The only generator of the Hospital does not generate enough power.



Our repeated calls to the Nepal Electricity Authority to continue power supply to a sensitive institution, like a hospital has fallen in deaf ears, Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, Mohammad Sattar said.
