Sunrise Bank insures depositors

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Sunrise Bank has introduced 'Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy for Saving Depositors' in coordination with Shikhar Insurance.

"The insurance coverage amount shall be limited to four times of available balance in the customers' saving accounts or Rs 500,000, whichever is less, and is provided in case of accidental death and permanent disability only," the bank said in a statement.

The bank also said that it has handed over the check for Rs 231,809.00 to the beneficiary of the deceased account holder late Surjya Maya Gambanjar Bansiju on Friday.
