KATHMANDU, July 11: A group of students and youth activists belonging to Nepal Students Union and Nepal Tarun Dal that are close to the Dr Shekhar Koirala-led faction within the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) staged demonstration at the main entrance of the party's headquarters in Sanepa on Monday afternoon.

The agitating students and youth leaders close to the rival faction within the party demanded the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba give full shape to the central committees of all sister organizations at the earliest. They staged a protest as President Deuba was about to enter the office to take part in the NC Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting. 

A large number of police personnel have been deployed at the NC headquarters following the protest. The agitating students and youth leaders have continued their protest as the party's CWC meeting is underway.
