Student found dead in front of passport department

KATHMANDU, June 16: The body of a student has been found in front of the Department of Passports in Tripureshwar. The body of 22-year-old Abhishek Jaiswal, a resident of Sanepa, Lalitpur, and a student of Thapathali Engineering College, was found near an under construction building of Chaudhary Group on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Kathmandu, he had been missing since Sunday night. As soon as his body was found, a team from Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu Police Range, Teku, Police Circle Kalimati reached the spot.

According to the preliminary investigation, he may have jumped from the roof himself. Police also took a forensic expert from TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj to the spot. His body has been handed over to his family after postmortem. The post-mortem report is yet to come.
