KATHMANDU, July 17: Following the destruction of the friendship bridge connecting Nepal and China by a flood in the Lhende River on July 8, Nepalis stranded in Kerung are going to be repatriated through an alternative route.
146 Nepali migrant workers repatriated via charter flights

According to Chief District Officer, Rasuwa, Arjun Paudel, a request has been made to the Chinese government through Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the return of around 1,200 stranded Nepalis.
The Chinese authorities have arranged food and accommodation for the stranded individuals. Among them, 91 are drivers and co-drivers of cargo vehicles, while 117 others who had gone there for work have also requested to be sent home, officials said.
