KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the state should not hesitate to invest in the security sector.
At a progress review meeting organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday, Minister Thapa argued that investment in security sector is inevitable to achieve the development goals and ensure good governance.
Minister Thapa viewed that the National Planning Commission and the Finance Ministry should support by internalizing the fact that law and order, and development were interconnected issues.
On the occasion, the Home Minister stated that the state-of-the-art technology should be applied for better security.
Secretary at the Ministry of Home Prem Kumar Rai, Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal and other officials of the security bodies, as well as the officials from the Ministry of Finance and National Planning Commission, were also present. RSS
