KATHMANDU, August 6: Minister of State for Health and Population (MoHP), Umesh Shrestha has committed to taking legal action against those involved in corruption at the BP Koirala Institutes of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
In a meeting of the Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday, State Minister Shrestha announced to form a probe committee through a senate meeting and take legal action against those involved in corruption at BPKIHS.

“There is no provision to take legal actions against the accused without holding a senate meeting, so the government is soon to summon a senate meeting,” said Shrestha. “Those found guilty of corruption will face strict legal actions.”
BPKIHS has been witnessing multiple protests time and again as it faces allegations of corruption and irregularities.
