KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Nepal suffered a five-wicket defeat to the Sri Lanka Development team in their third practice match in the island nation.
Sri Lanka Development squad, chasing a target of 160 runs set up by Nepal, reached the target in just 26.5 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. K. Sanjula was the top scorer for the Sri Lanka Development team, with 68 runs.
Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha took 2 wickets each for Nepal, while Lalit Rajbanshi claimed 1 wicket.

Earlier, Nepal lost the toss, was invited to bat first, and was all out in 40 overs, making 159 runs.
Kushal Bhurtel was the top scorer for Nepal with 43 runs off 50 balls, while Kushal Malla contributed 35 runs off 55 balls.
Arif Sheikh scored 20 runs, acting captain Sompal Kami was out for 2, and Gulshan Jha for 5. Similarly, Asif Sheikh was dismissed for a duck, Anil Shah for 3, and Sandeep Jora for 6 runs.
For Sri Lanka Development, Garuka Sanketh took four wickets.
Nepal is currently in Sri Lanka preparing for the ICC World Cup League-2, which will be held from September 16 in Canada. Nepal will participate in a triangular series with Canada and Oman.
