Spreading smiles and promoting start-ups

An event featuring products from a total of 25 enterprises titled ‘Namaste Nepal’ was organized on Thursday at Labim Mall, Patan. Open Space Network organized the event focusing on being a bridge to fill the gap between production and consumption. OSN encourages young entrepreneurs by creating and developing large scale events such as festivals, markets, conferences and exhibitions to exchange and interact about their products to the people.

The event was first organized in 2015 to help acknowledge progressive start-ups that are adding to the country’s growth. According to a press statement released by Open Space Network, the products ranged from handicrafts, leather, eateries, wearable and recycled products; all made in Nepal.

It added that the enterprise participating in the event included Today’s Telegram, Dhaasoo, Naturo Earth, Fibro, Cozee lounge wear, Dochaa, Paila, Swiffles, Happy Bean Bags, Indigo, Lahana Paper Craft, Nagiko, Pote Store, Naymati, Kayo, Whiz Export and Import, Maya Handicraft, Tyre Treasures, Mely Shoes, Badge Nepal, Craft villa, Custom ‘R’ us, Leaf Plus, Revive and Queen Plus.

Quoting Faija Parween, founder of Open Space Network the press statement said, “Our goal was to promote Nepal-made products and help start-ups get exposure to new level of customers. The event has reached greater heights than the past years and we wish to encourage more start-ups in the coming years.”

The event was supported by PRK Corporation and Everest Film Academy. The creative partner this year was Crezona Network.
