KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Former Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said sports can play a very significant role in forging unity and friendly relations among Nepali people.

Speaking at a program organized to announce Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium at the City Hall in the capital on Wednesday, Chairman Dahal said the sports can help maintain unity among people which is prerequisite to the development of the country.

“The announcement of cricket stadium bodes well for the development of the country as sports can help forge unity among the Nepali people,” said Dahal, adding, “Without unity development is impossible”.

Dahal said that this is a historical and appreciative job taking place at the initiation of Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation.
