KATHMANDU, Mar 5: South Siders has registered its first win of the ongoing first Kwiks Men’s Basketball League with a 73-67 victory over Xavier International College on Sunday. At its home court, Siders won the first quarter 19-16, while it won the second 18-14. It lost the third quarter 23-8, but won the fourth making a superb comeback by 18-10. The score was tied 63-63 after the regulation time, and Siders won 10-4 in the extra time. Siders has registered points after losing four games in the league, while it is the sixth consecutive loss for Xavier. The departmental team is at the top of the standings with 18 points from six matches, while Kirtipur Basketball Team is second with 12 points from four matches. Likewise, Bishal Milan Kendra is third with 12, Himalayan Hounds is fourth with nine. Below them, Budhanilkantha Municipality and Golden Gate College have six points each.
