SOLUKHUMBU, Jan 23: Solukhumbu-Kathmandu road has been blocked following the heavy snowfall that has been occurring in Pattale area since Tuesday night.
According to District Police Office, Solukhumbu, over 40 Kathmandu-bound vehicles have been stranded in Pattale area after it received a heavy snowfall.

Pattale area which is located at the altitude of 3,100 meters has received about a seven-inch-high snowfall, said Prakash Magar, a local.
Snowfall has blanketed various places including Salleri, Selgudi and Pike in the district.
Similarly, flights to and from Tenzing Hilary Airport have been disrupted due to thick fog and heavy snowfall while the locals have not been able to come out their houses.
