KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Soaltee Westend Premier of Nepalgunj has received 'Best Debut Green Hotel' during the 14th Hospitality India & Explore the World Annual International Travel Awards held in India last week.
According to a statement issued by the hotel, India's Union Minister of State for Tourism K J Alphons and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale handed over the award to the Chairman of the Soaltee Westend Premier, Dinesh Bahadur Bista, during the awards ceremony held in New Delhi.
The hotel is promoted by Soaltee Hotel Ltd which also runs a five-star hotel named Soaltee Crowne Plaza in Kathmandu.
"The company has taken another step by setting up Nepal's most state-of-the-at eco-friendly hotel. Soaltee Westend Premier Nepalgunj is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Category hotel in Nepal, certified by the US Green Building Council," the hotel added in the statement.
Westend Premier attracts local, international visitors and notable personalities, according to the statement.
